I'm discovering there are new uses for GUESTBOOKS!!! People don't just sign to say "hi, cool website" or "just dropped in" anymore. Did you know that all sorts of spam can go directly to a GUESTBOOK these days? I just checked ours, thinking wow, one new entry would be fun!!! And I discovered over 25 new entries in the past couple of days, telling me that I could buy just about any drug I want, any makeup, sign up for any activity, play poker, and way more stuff I am too polite to mention.... wow! And here I thought it was just a friendly way to say hello!
Our technology is so impressive these days. Blink and you've missed the latest update on your software. Blink twice and you need a whole new operating system. Don't even ask me what happens if you blink three times. Jeez - if you took a nap you'd wake up in the technological dark ages!
Today I spent half an hour on the phone with the cable company trouble shooting the digital phone system because my phone sounds like a war zone when I pick it up. And I'm lucky! I've been trying to reach them for weeks, and must have spent a good hour or more on terminal hold.
Can you tell I'm a little frustrated with it all?
Let's face it, if you're over 10 years old, life just moves way too fast these days. Maybe if you're under 10 it does too, but you just don't recognize it yourself and nobody has the heart to tell you yet.
Today is a gorgeous day. I hope everyone who reads this (including the poker playing drug dealing sex selliing entrepreneureal guestbook bandits) gets to spend some time in the sun. Just 15 minutes in the sun and you've gotten your vitamin D for the day.
